The Long Cycles Converge

Last week we named three great cycles being activated simultaneously. This week Jupiter weaves through all three in rapid succession — bringing what is large and transpersonal into the realm of the humanly meaningful. Into story, culture, and the conversations where collective transformation actually takes root.

This week also carries a transit that deserves its own moment of recognition. On Friday, Neptune in Aries sextiles Pluto in Aquarius, the two slowest moving planets in flowing alignment, directly activating their own great cycle seeded in the lates 1890s.

And the Sun follows. Mercury stations direct. Saturn stations retrograde. A rare threshold is reaching its crescendo.

Monday, July 20: Jupiter in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius and trines Neptune in Aries. 

Jupiter opens the week with two major contacts holding the essential tension of this entire threshold period. The opposition to Pluto, the Expander meeting the Transformer, activates the unfinished Uranus-Pluto Virgo revolution from the mid 1960's around power, identity, and who gets to flourish. Where does the desire to be fully seen meet the power structures that have historically demanded containment?

On the same day Jupiter trines Neptune in Aries, activating the Uranus-Neptune Capricorn cycle from the early 1990's, the dissolution of old structures of authority and meaning. Flow rather than rupture. The invitation to imagine what might replace what is dissolving. Hold both transits together. The confrontation with power and the opening of new vision are the same threshold approached from two directions.

Tuesday, July 21: Jupiter in Leo sextiles Uranus in Gemini. 

Jupiter completes its rapid weaving through all three long cycles. This sextile activates the Neptune-Pluto Gemini cycle from the late 1890's, the revolution in mind, communication, and shared reality. New ideas finding unexpected audiences. Connections forming between people and communities that would not ordinarily find each other. In two days Jupiter has touched all three great cycles, bringing each into the realm of collective story and shared meaning.

Wednesday, July 22: Sun enters Leo. 

Leo season begins in a field already charged by everything building around it. The Sun in Leo asks what is genuinely alive in you that wants to be expressed — not performed, not managed, but genuinely offered from the place that knows its own worth. In a collective moment asking so much endurance, Leo season is not a distraction. It is a necessary counterweight.

Thursday, July 23: Sun in Leo squares Chiron in Taurus. Mercury stations direct at 16 degrees Cancer. 

The desire to shine meets the wound of unworthiness in its most embodied form. Where does the body carry the memory of having been seen and found lacking? Let what is tender be visible to yourself at least. That is enough for today.

At the same time Mercury stations direct, completing three weeks of retrograde review in the realm of feeling and belonging. What the interior work of these weeks revealed, the emotional truth that found language, the unfinished conversation revisited, is now ready to move forward. Trust what you know now. It is ready to be spoken.

Friday, July 24: Neptune in Aries sextiles Pluto in Aquarius.

Before Saturn and the Sun's confrontation with Pluto, something quieter and more vast deserves naming. The two slowest moving planets, the Imaginal Field and the Transformer, in flowing alignment. This is the great Neptune-Pluto cycle speaking to itself across time, the revolution in mind and shared reality seeded in the late 1890s now activated through a harmonious aspect between the two planets themselves. 

In the background of everything else moving through this week, this is a quiet and profound current. What is the imagination of humanity reaching toward beneath the noise and the breakdown? What is being dissolved so that something genuinely new can find its form? These are questions that do not resolve in a day. But they are worth sitting with as the longest arc of the three great cycles makes itself briefly, quietly known.

Sunday, July 26: Saturn stations retrograde at 15 degrees Aries. Sun in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius. 

Saturn turning inward begins months of honest interior review. What structures in your life are genuinely serving who you are becoming? On the same day the Sun opposes Pluto, the Conscious Self meeting the Transformer directly. Where are you being asked to step into genuine visibility in the face of systems that have historically demanded your containment? Sun opposing Pluto makes that question undeniable. Sometimes the undeniable question is the most useful gift.

Monday, July 27 the Lunar Nodes change signs. 

The North Node enters Leo, the South Node enters Aquarius — an eighteen-month shift asking the collective to develop toward genuine creative expression and the courage to offer individual gifts in service of the whole.

Wednesday, July 29 brings a Full Moon at 6 degrees of Aquarius conjunct Pluto, opposing Jupiter in Leo, and activating all three long cycles simultaneously. The Sun and Moon in direct contact with Pluto while touching Neptune in Aries and Uranus in Gemini. This is the culmination of everything this arc has been building toward. Three great cycles seeded in the 1890s, the 1960s, and the 1990s, all being activated simultaneously. The revolution in mind and communication, the unfinished work of power, identity, and healing, the dissolution of collective structures of meaning and authority. This week, that convergence deepens, and a new thread enters the weave. Jupiter, the expander, the meaning maker, the teacher, the planet that operates in the realm of culture and collective vision, is now moving through contacts with all three of those long cycles within the span of two days. Jupiter is called a social planet, where Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, those of the three cycles, operate at the transpersonal and civilizational level. Jupiter brings those energies into the realm of society, community, shared story, and the questions of collective meaning that organize how human beings live together. When Jupiter weaves through all three long cycles in rapid succession, it is if the larger archetypal field is being made briefly legible, available not only to the few who track outer planet cycles, but to the broader social field, to culture, to community, to the conversations happening in the spaces where people actually live their lives. And this week, the sun follows Jupiter's path, entering Leo and immediately making its own contacts with Chiron and Pluto. Also, Mercury turns direct, yay, and Saturn stations retrograde, or appears to go backwards. And the lunar nodes are preparing to change signs. Let's take a moment to breathe, okay, and feel our feet on the earth. This week also carries a cycle that deserves its own moment of recognition. On Friday, Neptune in Aries sextiles Pluto in Aquarius, the two slowest-moving planets in flowing alignment, directly activating their own great cycle seeded in the late 1890s. It is the continuation of a rare threshold that will carry through the full moon at the end of July, when the sun, the moon, and Pluto in Aquarius activate all three long cycles simultaneously. We are inside something that will be worth remembering. Here are the key cycles of this week Monday, July 20th. Jupiter in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius and also trines Neptune in Aries. Jupiter opens the week with two major contacts. One is challenging and one is flowing, and together they hold the essential tension of this entire threshold period. Jupiter opposing Pluto is a confrontation between expansion and transformation, between the generous, creative, meaning-making impulse of Jupiter and Leo, and the deep, relentless restructuring of collective power that Pluto in Aquarius is carrying forward. This opposition cycle asks, what is the relationship between genuine creative expression and collective power? Between the individual's gifts and the systems that either support or suppress them. Between the Leo impulse to shine and the Aquarian demand that no single light dominate at the expense of the many In the collective field, this opposition may surface as tension between leaders or cultural figures who carry genuine creative vision and the systems of power that seek to contain or co-opt that vision. We are seeing this daily. It may also surface internally for you, where the desire to be fully seen and to offer what is genuinely alive in you meets the fear of the power structures that have historically punished that kind of visibility. And particularly here, I wanna honor and recognize the suffering of BIPOC folks, as well as any beings who do not fit the structure of the current culture Jupiter opposing Pluto activates the Uranus-Pluto Virgo cycle of the 1960s, the unfinished revolution around power, identity, and who gets to flourish. The questions raised in that decade are present again in this opposition, now carried into Leo and Aquarius, the axis of individual expression and collective belonging And on that same day, Jupiter also trines Neptune in Aries. The tension of the opposition is immediately held by something more flowing. The expander in easy alignment with the imaginal field. Vision and meaning moving together. The possibility that what is being disrupted and restructured is not only collapse, but the opening of a genuinely new imagination of how collective life could be organized. Jupiter trine Neptune activates the Uranus-Neptune Capricorn cycle of the early nineteen nineties, the dissolution of old structures of authority and meaning, but through a trine, not a hard aspect, flow rather than rupture. The invitation to imagine what might replace what is dissolving, not to reach back toward the familiar, but to let the imaginal field open towards something genuinely new. Hold both these cycles together today. This day, the confrontation with power and the opening of new vision are not separate. They are the same threshold approached from two directions. On Tuesday, July 21st, Jupiter in Leo sextiles Uranus in Gemini. And here Jupiter completes its rapid weaving through all three long cycles. The sextile to Uranus in Gemini activates the Neptune-Pluto Gemini cycle, the revolution in mind, communication, and the construction of shared reality. Jupiter sextile Uranus brings the quality of genuine breakthrough into the social and cultural field. New ideas finding unexpected audiences, connections forming between people and communities that would not ordinarily find each other. The quickened mental field of Gemini meeting the expansive meaning-making of Jupiter in Leo, and something emerges that feels both surprising and somehow inevitable. In two days, Jupiter has touched all three great cycles. The meaning-maker has moved through the full arc of what this threshold is asking. The power confrontation, the imaginal opening, the revolution in how reality is constructed and shared. This is Jupiter doing what it does best, taking what is large and transpersonal and bringing it into the realm of the humanly meaningful, into story, into culture, into the conversations and communities where collective transformation actually takes root Wednesday, July 22nd, the sun enters Leo. The conscious self steps into the sign of the heart, of creative expression, of the courage to be genuinely seen. The Leo season begins Some people might say in a very sacred way, it's a party time. And this year, the sun enters a field already charged by everything that has been building. Jupiter's recent contacts, the long cycles now activated and humming, the approaching full moon that will bring it to all to culmination. The sun going into Leo asks, what is genuinely alive in you that wants to be expressed? Not performed, not managed, genuinely expressed from the place in you that it knows its own worth without needing permission or external validation. In a collective moment that has asked so much endurance and gravity, and has carried so much horror and grief, Leo season is not a distraction. It's a necessary counterweight. The insistence that life, even in times of reckoning and pain, contains genuine joy, genuine creativity, genuine radiance. Somehow let that be real for you On Thursday, July 23rd, the sun in Leo squares Chiron in Taurus, and Mercury turns direct at 16 degrees of Cancer. Two significant movements on the same day. The sun in Leo squaring Chiron in Taurus brings the conscious self into direct tensions- tension with the wounded healer. The da- desire to shine, to express, to be genuinely seen meets the wound of unworthiness in its most embodied form. We named this territory when Jupiter squared Chiron earlier in the month. Now the sun activates it personally, directly Where does the wound contract around the desire for visibility? Where does the body carry the memory of having been seen and found lacking, or having been too much or not enough for the systems and relationships that shaped you? Sun square Chiron does not bypass that wound, but it illuminates it, which is the first step toward the metabolizing that Chiron in Taurus is asking for, for, for over its long cycle. Let what is tender be visible to yourself, at least. That can be enough for today. At the same time, Mercury stations direct at sixteen degrees of Cancer after three weeks of retrograde cycle. The three-week retrograde review in the realm of feeling, memory, and belonging is completing. The communicator begins moving forward again, carrying what the interior work of these weeks has revealed Explore what became clear during the retrograde. The felt sense knowing, the emotional truth that found language, the unfinished conversation that was revisited is now ready to move forward into expression. Mercury stationing direct in Cancer suggests that what moves forward is not analytical conclusion, but emotional truth. Not the answer the mind constructed, but the knowing the feeling body arrived at through its own slower, deeper process. Trust what you know now. Neptune and Pluto, the two outermost planets, the slowest movers in the sky, are making direct contact today. The imaginal field and the transformer in flowing sextile. This is the great Neptune-Pluto cycle speaking to itself across time. The cycle seeded in Gemini in the late 1890s, the revolution in mind, communication, and how reality is constructed is now in 2026 being activated through a harmonious aspect between the two planets themselves. This is very rare and does not happen often When it does, something at the very deep root of collective consciousness becomes briefly available to conscious engagement. Not loudly. Saturn stationing retrograde turns the structure inward for the coming months. The reality principle, the voice of what is actually sustainable and real, begins a period of interior review. What structures in your life, inner and outer, are genuinely serving the person you are becoming and the world? What has been maintained out of habit, obligation, or fear rather than genuine alignment? Saturn retrograde does not ask for dramatic dismantling. The conscious self meets the transformer directly across the full polarity of individual expression and collective power. On Monday, July twenty-seventh, the lunar nodes change signs. The North Node enters Leo, the South Node enters Aquarius. This is an eighteen-month shift in the direction of collective growth. The nodal axis now aligned with the Leo-Aquarius polarity, asking the collective to develop toward genuine creative expression, authentic leadership, and the courage to offer individual gifts in service of the whole. And on Wednesday, July twenty-ninth, the full moon is at six degrees of Aquarius, conjunct Pluto, opposing Leo-- Jupiter and Leo, and activating all three long cycles simultaneously. The sun and moon, the two luminaries, the most personal of celestial bodies, will be in direct contact with Pluto, while also touching Neptune and Aries and Uranus and Gemini. The full arc of the three great cycles activated by the most personal planetary bodies available. This full moon is the culmination of everything this two-week arc has been building toward. It will deserve its own full expression. For now, know that it's coming, that it's in the field. Let this week's cycles do their preparatory work.
