This is a threshold week.

If things feel accelerated, disorienting, or even unreal at moments, there is nothing wrong with you. This is what it can feel like when a collective initiation is underway and the ground of meaning itself begins to shift.

At the center of it is a major transition. Uranus completes its long journey through Taurus and enters Gemini, where it will remain until 2033.

We are already feeling this shift through the rapid rise of AI and the speed at which language, images, and information are now created and shared. This is one expression of Uranus in Gemini.

Gemini governs the mind, perception, and communication. Uranus disrupts and accelerates. Together, they signal a revolution in how reality is constructed and understood.

And it is happening quickly. Faster than most nervous systems and cultural structures can easily integrate.

So if part of you feels awe, and part of you feels fear or grief, that makes sense. This is not just innovation. This is the unraveling of familiar ways of knowing.

Key Cycles This Week:

Monday: Mercury conjunct Saturn and Mars in Aries.
Clarity meets pressure. Thought, action, and consequence come together. Discernment is essential.

Thursday: Venus conjunct Uranus at the end of Taurus, then Venus enters Gemini.
Venus foreshadows Uranus' threshold crossing, completing an eight-year cycle around values and security, and a subtle reorientation toward what is emerging.

Saturday: Sun in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius. Uranus enters Gemini.
A larger turning point. Systems of power and meaning continue to transform as the mental and informational field accelerates.

Sunday: Venus in Gemini sextile Neptune. Mercury square Jupiter.
Inspiration and imagination are available, along with the risk of over-amplification or distortion.

This moment can feel apocalyptic for many. Not necessarily the end of the world, but the end of a world. The loss of shared certainty, stable narratives, and familiar ways of orienting.

There is real fear and grief here.

We are in the death throes of modernity. Systems built on separation and control are destabilizing, and they do not dissolve cleanly. And this is also an initiation.

We are being asked to develop new capacities. To stay present within complexity. To discern what is real in a rapidly shifting landscape.

AI can generate language, but it cannot replace embodied knowing, relational presence, or the deeper intelligence that arises from being connected to the web of life.

Reflection Questions

  1. Where am I feeling both curiosity and unease about the rapid changes in technology and communication?
  2. What helps me stay grounded in my own knowing as information accelerates?
  3. As familiar structures feel like they are unraveling, what deeper ground am I being asked to root into?
  4. Where do I feel a shift in what I value, relate to, or am willing to engage with, even if I can’t yet fully name it?

If you feel something is ending, you are not imagining it. And if you feel something new is quietly emerging, that is also here.

Stay close to what is real in your direct experience and in human ways that cannot be automated.

In this podcast, I'll offer you inspiring insights from current astrology cycles that support your path of turning your personal lead into gold. More resources are available at the website on the edges of change.com. Welcome to episode number 361 of the Astrology Alchemy Podcast. I'm your host and guide, Sheila Baer, and this is for the week of April 20th, 2026 line From this week's podcast poem, we were trying to live a personal life. So my friends, this is quite a threshold week if things feel accelerated, disorienting, or even unreal at moments. Remember, there is nothing wrong with you. This is what it can feel like when a collective initiation is underway. And the ground of meaning itself begins to shift. We are not only in personal change, we are in a re-patterning of the mental and relational field at a civilizational level. Let me say that again. We are in a re-patterning of the mental. A relational field at a civilizational level, so take that in. At the center of it is a major shift. Uranus is completing its long seven year journey through Taurus and stepping into Gemini once more where it was for a little bit last year. But now fully stepping in where it will remain until 2033. We are already feeling it. An example, the rapid emergence of ai, artificial intelligence into everyday life. The speed at which information, images, language. An even identity can now be generated, shaped, and reshaped. This is not separate from Uranus entering Gemini. This is one expression of it. The Zodiac sign, Gemini governs the mind language, communication perception. Uranus the Maverick archetype. Disrupts, accelerates electrifies. Together, Uranus and Gemini brings a revolution in how reality is constructed and shared, and it's happening fast, faster than most nervous systems, most cultures. And most meaning making structures can easily integrate. So if part of you feels awe and part of you feels fear and part of you feels de disoriented and even grieving something you can't quite name. That all makes sense. This is not just innovation, this is the unraveling of familiar ways of knowing. Okay, so let's walk and be with the main cycles of this week on Monday, April 20th, mercury. In Aries is conjunct, both Saturn and Mars. Mercury, the communicator's storyteller, mind meets pressure, thought meets consequence. Saturn, the responsible one. There can be urgency here. Mars, the action taker and a need to speak or act, but also an invitation to slow just enough to feel what is true beneath reaction. In a rapidly shifting information landscape, discernment becomes essential. On Thursday, April 23rd, this is a day of profound threshold movement. Venus is conjunct Uranus at the very end of the Zodiac Taurus. This is completing an eight year cycle of Uranus. With radical change around value, relationship embodiment, and the material world, and Venus crosses the threshold into Gemini first because later that day, after being with Uranus, Venus, enter Gemini, I'll use. A female gender noun for Venus. Please see this archetype of the relational one in whatever way is right for you in ancient times. Venus is very much connected to the goddess, the divine feminine, but language it, how is best for you? So Venus crosses the threshold first into Gemini. She senses the shift before it fully arrives. She moves ahead of it. This is subtle intelligence, relational intelligence. Before the systems change, before the technology scale even further, the relational field begins to reorganize. It's possible you may notice this as a quiet shift in what you trust. What you value, what feels real or not real anymore? On Saturday, April 25th, the sun in Taurus, squares, Pluto, and Aquarius. And drum roll, please. Your honor. Centers Gemini. Here is the larger turning. Pluto, the systemic change agent. The transformer continues its deep restructuring of collective power and systems. Uranus now electrifies the realm of mind, communication and perception. This is where the AI revolution sits inside the larger archetypal movement. We are entering a time where language itself is no longer exclusively human generated, where images, ideas, and even voices can be created at scale instantly. This can open extraordinary possibilities and it can destabilize our sense of what is real. This is why many people are feeling something that has an almost apocalyptic quality, not necessarily end of the world in a literal sense, although given the incredible, harmful, violent, instability and leadership, some must feel that danger. But it's not necessarily a literal end of the world, but the end of a world, the end of a way of organizing reality. The end of a shared agreement about what is true, the end of familiar anchors, and that can feel like everything is unraveling. There is real grief here, real fear, real disorientation, and an elder perspective that lives in each of us, no matter our age, does not dismiss those feelings, those experiences. The elder of you and the world recognizes that we are living inside the death rows of modernity systems built on separation, domination, and control. Our destabilizing, and they do not dissolve cleanly. They often intensify, distort. Or fragment as they break down. So the intensity we are seeing in leadership, in information systems, in collective narratives, this is part of that process, but this is not only collapse, this is also initiation. On Sunday, April 26th, Venus, newly in Gemini, sextiles, Neptune in Aries, and Mercury in Aries squares Jupiter in cancer. That's a lot of archetypes. Let's break it down. There is imagination and possibility here. New visions of connection, meaning, and communication. Venus as the relational one is in harmony with Neptune. The visionary in the fire sign of newness varies and mercury the communicator. Is an intense kind of relationship with Jupiter, the teacher, sage in the water sign of cancer. Jupiter is the large gas planet of our solar system, and as an archetype, it's larger than life, so there is also amplification, exaggeration. The risk of believing too quickly, reacting too quickly, or getting swept into the scale of the moment. This is where inner orientation becomes essential and grounding in our own true visions relating Venus to our own inner visionary Neptune and aspirations for ourselves and the world. So let me offer you a larger frame on this week, which is. Not an isolated journey of initiation. We are being asked to grow new capacities, not just to think faster, but to sense more deeply to discern what is alive and what is constructive, to stay connected to the body, to the relational field, to the web of life. AI can generate language. It cannot replace lived presence. It cannot replace the intelligence of the body, the heart, the relational field. So part of our initiation here is not rejecting the new, but not abandoning ourselves within it. Staying rooted while the mental field accelerates. Here are some reflection questions for you. First, where am I feeling both awe and unease about the rapid changes in technology communication? Or the way reality is being shaped a second reflection, what helps me to know what is true for me beneath the speed and volume of information, and thirdly. As familiar structures feel like they are unraveling, what deeper ground am I being asked to root in? And a fourth one for you. Where do I feel a shift in what I value relate to, or am willing to engage with, even if I can't yet fully name it? This is a real threshold. If part of you feels like something is ending, you are not imagining. And if another part senses that something new is trying to emerge, even if you can't yet name it, that is here too. The ancient ones called it the betwixt. And between times or not the past, we don't yet know what's in the future. They are in betwixt in between times, powerful initiation field. So stay close to what is real in your direct experience. Stay connected to others in human ways that cannot be automated. And remember, even in times that feel like endings, life continues to reorganize within the larger web of life. The podcast poem that comes for this week really calls us to a bigger perspective. To recognize it has to radically change in human nature for us to navigate this personal collective initiat time. It's called. In those years by Adrian Rich, in those years, people will say, we lost track of the meaning of we of you. We found ourselves reduced to eye and the whole thing became silly, ironic, terrible. We were trying to live a personal life, and yes, that was the only life we could bear witness to, but the great dark birds of history screamed and plunged into our personal weather. They were headed somewhere else, but their beaks and pinions drove along the shore through the rags of fog where we stood saying I, we were trying to live a personal life. And these times demand that we grow bigger than that. And we truly embody the capacity to live a we and a you and an I, human and more than human life. The descendants are calling to us. Use these times of radical change to grow into something. Magnificent on behalf of our world. Thank you. Deeply appreciate your ongoing support for this podcast.
