This week brings a potent blend of healing, disruption, and new beginnings. The Sun in its Leo fullness meets Chiron’s medicine for old wounds, a New Moon in Virgo invites change through the unexpected, Venus draws us into tender but courageous relationship healing, and the Sun steps into Virgo with an electric square to Uranus. Expect moments of insight, activation, and the call to respond with both grounded presence and open-hearted adaptability.

Aug 19 – Sun in Leo trine Chiron in Aries

Your Conscious Self (Sun) harmonizes with the Wounded Healer (Chiron), offering you a courageous moment to meet vulnerabilities with self-compassion and sovereignty.

Reflection Question: Where could I let my confidence and my vulnerability work together instead of at odds?

Aug 22 – New Moon at 0° Virgo square Uranus in Gemini

The Instinctive Nurturer (Moon) archetype begins a fresh Virgo cycle, immediately challenged by the Maverick’s demand for innovation. Disruption may be the seedbed for a more authentic rhythm of daily life.

Reflection Question: What unexpected shift could liberate me into a truer, cleaner alignment with my values?

Aug 22 – Venus in Cancer square Chiron in Aries

The Relational One (Venus) faces the Wounded Healer (Chiron) —inviting tenderness in places where self-protection has kept love at bay.

Reflection Question: How might I soften toward myself or another without abandoning my own boundaries?

Aug 24 – Sun in Virgo square Uranus in Gemini

The Conscious Self (Sun) now turns toward discernment and skillfulness, yet meets Uranus’ (Maverick's) jolt to think and act differently.

Reflection Question: Where is life asking me to break a habitual pattern in order to live more freely?

More resources are available at the website on the edges of change.com. Welcome to episode number 326 of the Astrology Alchemy Podcast. This is for the week of August 18th, 2025, and I am your host and guide, Sheila Bélanger. Here's a phrase from this week's podcast poem:"be grateful for whatever comes." This week brings a potent blend of healing, disruption, and new beginnings. The sun is in its Leo fullness and meets chiron's medicine for old wounds. A Aun and Virgo invites change through the unexpected. Venus draws us into tender, but courageous relationship healing. And the sun steps into Virgo with an electric square to Uranus. Expect moments of insight, activation, and the call to respond with both grounded presence and open-hearted adaptability. There's an overview. Now let's get down to it and remember dear ones, especially if you're new to my podcast. The planets as they move through the heavens are mirroring to us something of our own archetypal change. The way that archetypal astrologers work with the planetary movements, we don't see it as causal. The planets are not doing anything to us. They are mirrors because we're all interconnected and some of us are deeply archetypally sensitive to the movements of the planet. So in this kind of forecast that I and most astrologers do, we're just helping you give words and meaning to what you are already tracking, and hopefully in an empowering way. If you're new to the podcast, you don't know a lot of astrology, just listen to the stories and notice what your heart tells you. You don't have to remember anything about signs and squares and everything. Just jump in the river and flow with us. So on. On August 19th, Tuesday, August 19th, the son in Leo. Trines Chiron in Aries, that means they're 120 degrees away from each other. Very, very harmonious. So the sun, your conscious self archetype, your identity, who I am shining in the world harmonizes with Chiron and asteroid Comet, who is the wounded healer, shamanic one, offering you a courageous moment to meet vulnerabilities with self-compassion and sovereignty. Kyron being an Aries now, Aries is a fire sign that's about individuality and the right to really be who you are. The healing work we're all doing with Kyron and Aries right now is what are the ouchies inside where I feel like I can't be myself or the deep wound of an Aries energy is out of pain and suffering. There's an overcompensation of violence and aggression. Now the sun is always shining the light and saying, okay, here you are. And when it's in Leo ites, be who you are. So there's a beautiful energy here of the Sun and Chiron this week to to heal some wounds of visibility and self radical self-acceptance to say, this is who I am. Not from a pissed off rebel running over everybody, but from a deep place of grounded sovereignty and electrifies shine. Here's a reflection question for this cycle. Where could I let my confidence and my vulnerability work together instead of at odds? Just notice what occurs this week. Reminder, all of these reflection questions are in the show notes for the podcast, so you're welcome to get them there. Then on August 22nd, we have a new moon at zero degrees of Virgo, which squares Uranus in Gemini. Now the moon is the instinctive nurturer, and this, the new moon is where the sun and the moon are together. So the conscious self and the instinctive nurturer archetypes are together and. It. A new moon begins a fresh cycle, and it's just newly into the sign of Virgo. So both the sun and the moon are just right into the beginning of Virgo. Zero degrees means the very beginning of a 30 D degree arc in the heavens of a particular Zodiac sign. And the Zodiac sign is the energetic of what the archetypes are, are taking. Now, as soon as the New Moon happens at the very beginning of Virgo, it is immediately challenged by Uranus, the Maverick archetype. It's demand for innovation.'cause Uranus, the Maverick archetype, has just recently gone into Gemini. So there's a 90 degree angle, which is called a square, and this suggests that these characters in us, in the world, there's some tension there. Something's gotta give. It's not that it's negative, but it's not an easy flow. So. Disruption may be the seedbed for a more authentic rhythm of daily life.'cause Virgo wants, as an energy, wants things to have form and structure that works, wants to heal and bring things into wholeness. So we're seeding the sun and moon, the sacred marriage of yin and yang. You know, illuminating light and reflective light to say, what's a new healing path to take? What's a new form of wholeness to take? What needs to be healed and fixed in a good way? Part of that is disruption because of the link with the maverick archetype in the sign of Gemini, which is about ideas and communication. So it's like be open to disruptive thoughts that actually might help your life work better this week and be willing to put some energy into them and try them. New moon, new cycle. Here's a reflection question for this cycle. What unexpected shift. Could liberate me into a truer, cleaner alignment with my values. Just notice what kinds of gifts from unexpected places show up for you this week on the same day. On Friday, August 22nd, Venus is in the sign of cancer and it squares Chiron in Aries. So Chiron is active, very active this week. So Venus is the relational one archetype. It's all about what we value, what we care about, it's relationship on so many levels beyond just human beings. It's how you relate to your inner figures inside. It's how you relate to nature and creatures, the elements. How you relate to the ancestors and the invisible spirits. And Venus is in the sign of cancer, a water sign of deep nourishment and sensitivity and care and wanting to belong. Kyron again, the wounded healer, the shamanic one, the Shapeshifter says I'm all about healing some old wounds, but now I'm linked up with a relational one. So the relational one faces the wounded healer this week inviting tenderness in places where self-protection has kept love at bay. You might notice compassionately with yourself inside this week, your external relationships are not your enemies and be cautious about. Survival strategies and wounded patterns of making everybody the enemy. They're trying to, uh, cage me. They're trying to tell me what to do. They won't let me be who I am. It's all their fault. It's the relationship, it's the parents. That may be true. There might be some dynamics with external people. Really look at the dynamics inside. Are your own, um, intense pain and suffering around, I don't feel like I can be me Coloring your ability to really be in loving relationship with others. No blame here. Just compassionately Notice a reflection question. How might I soften towards myself or another without abandoning my own boundaries? The gift of cancer is this steep emotional connection. The gift of Aries is independent, self-reliant, be true to oneself. You can have both. That's what the Venus Cancer and Aries Corona Aries is inviting you to adjust. Then on Sunday, August 24th, the sun in Virgo Squares, Uranus in Gemini. So now this conscious self character in us, in the world shining who we are in the world is exactly in this 90 degree angle to Uranus, the maverick. In Gemini, that air sign Gemini's about, again, ideas and diversification in something different. The tension between just the signs Virgo in Gemini. Virgo wants it's an ERs sign, very grounded and uh, wants to get things formed and healed and working and lined. Gemini wants to blow everything up. Uranus wants to blow things up, but Gemini says, ah, let's try this. What about that? How about that? So it's a little frenetic and Virgo can get tight ass and say, ah, you're messing things up'cause you're changing it so much. And yet the sun is shining the light on Virgo. So it's saying, okay, now we want discernment. So the sun, the conscious self, now turns towards discernment and skillfulness. The sun recently in De Virgo yet meets Uranus's jolt to think and act differently. So how do you explore both end with those energies? Here's a reflection question, where is life asking me to break a habitual pattern in order to live more freely? One of the challenges with a planet in Virgo, a part of ourselves in the Virgo energy is v Virgo Energy in its wounded side is perfectionistic and critical of self and other not right, not perfect, not good enough. Whereas Gemini's kind of the sky's the limit. Let's try it. Let's experiment. So you're looking for a nice sweet spot here where. There's impulses in you in the world that say, try something different. Wake up, do it, you know, upset things and then you get to come up against any part of you that says, no, no, it's gotta be this way. Or to criticize self or others'cause they're not doing it right. Like, let that kind of open up a bit, right? So they're dear ones are the key cycles that we have this week. I am going to give you kind of an overview here before we move into the um, poem. This week doesn't come wrapped in tidy lessons. It comes with a match in one hand and a healing salve in the other. The sun in Leo Daress you to show up with your full heart scars and all the new Moon in Virgo says Start over. Well, Uranus flips the script before you finish the first sentence. Venus pulls you into raw unarmed conversation, and the sun's face off with Uranus shouts Break the damn pattern. If you're willing to ride the disruption, you might just find a way of living that's more alive than you imagined. A little tip for this week. Step with both feet on the ground, but keep your eyes open for the unexpected doors that appear. So dear ones, the poem that really wants to come forward this week is one that is deeply beloved, and many of you already know it, and it's always worth repeating. It's called The Guest House by Rumi. This being human is a guest house every morning, a new arrival, a joy, a depression, a meanness. Some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all. Even if there are a crowd of sorrows who violently sweep your house, empty of its furniture, still treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. She, they may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought. The shame, the malice. Meet them at the door laughing and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes.'cause each has been sent as a guide from beyond"The Guest House" by Rumi an incredible invitation to make of yourself a big basket of welcoming all the parts of yourself. To release the need to other inner parts of yourself.'cause as you do that for yourself, you do that for others, and it is a huge prayer for the world, especially as the sun crosses into Virgo this week with the maverick leaning in, urging you to shape your life as a prayer that refuses to be bound by yesterday's patterns. Thanks as always, for your support and your connection. Feel my deep honor of you and my gratitude for we're all in this together. Take good care of yourself.
